Folk Music of England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and America provides access to MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) files, lyrics, and historical information for hundreds of folk songs ranging from circa 1600 to 1922. The author, Lesley Nelson‐Burns (aka “The Contemplator”), has a background in history and teaching. She has no formal musical training, and the site is a result of her avocation for folk music.
