Encyclopedia of British Women's Writing, 1900‐1950

This paperback issue of the Encyclopedia of British Women's Writing follows the 2006 original hardback (not reviewed in these columns) as an informative introduction to some of Britain's lesser‐known female writers. Editors Hammill, Miskimmin and Sponenberg, as well as over 70 contributors from universities in the UK and North America, aim to restore the names of these forgotten authors and journalists “to their formerly significant places in the literary culture of the twentieth century”.
