Australian Dictionary of Biography (online edition)

The Australian Dictionary of Biography (ABD) online edition is a powerhouse, authoritative web site that, according to its home page, covers more than “10,000 scholarly biographies of persons who were significant in Australian history”. Essentially the ADB online is a free edition of articles from the 1966‐2005 volumes of the print version. Unless factually incorrect the original words and styles of the articles have not been updated for contemporary mores.
