Tyler, a retired music professor from the College of Central Florida, has a produced an enthusiastic account of 168 movie musicals. Neither exhaustive nor highly selective, this modestly‐sized volume represents a significant portion of the canon of great movie musicals; the author notes that many more might have been included were it not for space limitations.
