The Scottish Survey of Architectural Practices (SSAP) was established in 1992 by Historic Scotland, the Royal Commission on Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland, the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland and the University of Glasgow. The Survey was established in order to investigate the threat to architectural records from the closure and amalgamation of architectural practices.
