The India Handbook is the second title in the publisher’s series Regional Handbooks of Economic Development: Prospects onto the 21st Century. The first volume was The China Handbook and forthcoming are handbooks on Japan and Southeast Asia. If they are like this one then I recommend them enthusiastically for school, college, university and reference libraries. Maybe “school” is pushing it a bit, but the prose is factual and readable so that sixth formers studying India should cope easily enough.
