Dictionary of Pseudonyms 3rd edition

This is an expansion and update of the 1989 Dictionary of Pseudonyms and their Origins, itself an update of the original Naming Names: Stories of Pseudonyms and Name Changes published in 1981. This third edition contains about 8,000 entries up to 1997, as well as revised introductory chapters and bibliography. As well as the entries themselves (name, original name, biographical dates, snapshot biography), it provides the stories behind name changes, often drawing on biographies and autobiographies.
