Snow and Us Rain and Us

“Where rain falls” is one of the sections in Rain and Us: “here” comes the unanimous cry from the West of Scotland. This volume has an unwanted topicality in the UK this summer, and we can only hope that the snow volume does not follow suit. These are, in fact, two very good books for their target five‐ to seven‐year‐old age range. They are clearly written and printed using suitable vocabulary so that the child may read (or learn to read) most if not all of the text for him or herself.
