The first edition of this work, which I had the pleasure of reviewing a couple of years ago (RR 96/443) was squat and bound in sober black boards. The second edition is a slab of a book, bound in red leather‐effect boards with gilt lettering and a ribbon as a bookmark. Like the first edition, it contains around 5,000 entries on the careers of individuals involved in popular music, broadly conceived, all around the world.
