At one stage during a social care course at college, my daughter was sent out for a morning on the streets of Glasgow in a wheelchair, accompanied by two of her friends; the results were, to say the least, illuminating not only for her and her friends, but also I understand for some of those passers‐by who failed to offer what they considered adequate assistance or courtesy.
