The Internet Public Library was the first virtual public library created for the Internet community. It was formed in 1995 at a graduate seminar held in the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Michigan. Its aim is to serve the Internet community by finding, evaluating, selecting, organising and creating quality information sources. This all sounds very familiar!
