Encyclopaedia of Early Christianity 2nd edition

The second edition of the Encyclopaedia of Early Christianity comes with the endorsements of the North American Patristics Society and the American Society of Church History. The selection of laudatory reviews of the first edition from the dust jacket does not, alas, include mine from Reference Reviews, Vol. 6 No. 6, 1992. I cannot start this review any better than by quoting from it:
