Directory of Members & Services, 1999‐2000: The Association of Consulting Scientists

If there is such a thing as big science (multinational companies and so forth) then the members of this association surely represent little science. Their reason for existence (since 1958 surprisingly) I can only surmise is through the public’s scepticism of claims made by those in big science : that there’s no significant danger in eating GM foods, that we over‐reacted to the mad cow disease issue, that Dolly the sheep won’t result in human cloning, that nuclear power stations will not make us glow in the dark.
