Reviewing the first disc of Alan Lomax’s collecting (“Brown Girl in the Ring”, RR, 99/48) in the Caribbean, I mentioned that there were more treats to come from that sunny area ‐ and there are still more yet to come. That first disc was of songs drawn from various regions. It was in effect a 62‐track sampler. The first disc of this new batch is also a sampler. The tracks are drawn from Trinidad, St Lucia, Anguilla, Nevis, Carriacou, and Dominica (all represented also on the original sampler), plus Martinique, St Barthelemy, Grenada and Guadeloupe.
