International Biographical Directory of National Archivists, Documentalists and Librarians 2nd edition

A second edition of this current directory of national archivists, documentalists and librarians, providing career information on the top professional and management personnel of the national information centres of 213 countries, published only three years after it first made its appearance, would seem to indicate that the first edition was well received and that its success demanded that it should be updated at frequent intervals. The result is, of course, that we have a directory of institutions enlivened by personalities instead of the usual directory pattern concentrating on access hours, services, publications, and details of the collections held.
