The Holocaust continues to be recognised as a major historical event and has become the symbol of modern man’s ability to do evil. There are still echoes of the Holocaust present in our everyday lives: popular movies such as Schindler’s List, The Diary of Anne Frank and Escape From Sobibor have brought the Holocaust to the attention of millions of people worldwide, who otherwise may not have encountered it.
