The Cambridge Companion to Malebranche

Through the centuries French thinkers have played a significant part in the various philosophical debates over religion. An extremely important contribution was made by Nicholas Malebranche (1638‐1715), whose work is notable because it combines elements of both Descartes and Saint Augustine. Unfortunately, Malebranche is a largely forgotten figure outside France.
