International Encyclopedia of Abbreviations and Acronyms in Science and Technology: Part 1, Yearbook 2000

This book arrived without any accompanying information, and it took some puzzling over the preface and a search of the Saur Web site to make out what the book was. In 1995 K.G. Saur published a 17‐volume encyclopaedia (price DM4,760, ISBN 3 598 22070 4). The book I received is the first of two annual updates for the year 2000. As the number of acronyms that the preface claims are in the earlier volumes is greater than the number mentioned in the catalogue details for the original version by about 120,000, I am assuming that there have been other updates....
