Based on and derived from its critically acclaimed Career Opportunities monographic series, Facts On File’s Career Guidance On‐line profiles over 1,000 jobs in 15 industries and 50 occupational categories. Regrettably, something appears to have been lost in the translation. Coverage is uneven, and the selection criteria remain unclear. Although a wide range of careers at various levels ‐ ranging from cooking teacher’s assistant and paste‐up artist to physician ‐ are included, many interesting and notable professions (such as Foreign Service Officer) are not.
