The History of Eating Utensils is a small but highly informative and well‐designed Web site that showcases the eating utensils portion of the Rietz Food Technology Collection. The collection, assembled by businessman and inventor Carl Austin Rietz, includes over 1,700 items. The site consists of seven pages, including topics such as knives, chopsticks, forks, spoons, and portable cutlery, as well as a bibliography and links to the Anthropology Department and the California Academy of Sciences pages.
