This is a beautifully illustrated book about the humble teapot. Humble? That is not an epithet that can be ascribed to the hundreds of coloured photographs in this volume. For what we have pictured here are teapots from many countries, teapots of many shapes and sizes, teapots based on monkeys, houses, cats, dogs, pipes, logs, racing cars, snakes, statues ‐ you name it! There are beautiful teapots, ugly teapots, gimmicky teapots and many other kinds all devoted to the pouring out of tea. The photographer is Tony Cunha, who deserves special mention.
