If serendipity and browsing are preferred learning styles then this book is a great source of learning. The 70 “mysteries” are divided into six sections: Myths and Legends; Mysteries of the Stone Age; Ancient Civilizations; Tombs and Lost Treasures; Ancient and Undeciphered Scripts; The Fall of Civilizations. With, on average, three to four pages on each mystery, the book can clearly not provide an in‐depth analysis. It does, however, provide a fascinating starting point and is great fun to “dip into”.
