This paperback is a reprint of the hard‐backed edition of the work first published in 1989. There has been no attempt to bring the text up to date, so that even the brief bibliography contains no material later than 1987 and that reference itself is to an out‐dated edition of Leslie Halliwell’s Film and Video Guide which is currently in its 2002 version.
