Black Drama

Black Drama contains a wealth of information about playwrights and provides full‐text access to many plays. The database currently covers 65 playwrights and over 200 plays, and the publisher plans to continue expanding coverage in the future. According to Alexander Street Press, the August 2002 release will increase the number of plays to approximately 400, with the goal of providing 1,200 plays by September 2003. Many playwrights, including Amiri Baraka, have provided the publisher with access to their previously unpublished plays, making this resource uniquely valuable.
