Glass from Islamic Lands: the al‐Sabah Collection, Kuwait National Museum

Glass from Islamic Lands serves a two‐fold purpose as both a catalogue of the al‐Sabah Collection of Islamic glass, held in Kuwait National Museum, and also, as a comprehensive survey of Islamic glass extending over 1,000 years. The study of Islamic glass is complex. Glasswork rarely bears inscriptions, which provide vital information. Glass was often shipped far from its place of origin and was sometimes discarded and re‐used.
