Guide to Reprints has a long publishing history. The title first appeared in 1967 and for many years was published on a generally annual basis by Guide to Reprints Inc. of Connecticut. Issued in one volume as a fairly basic author listing it carried the subtitle International Bibliography of Scholarly Reprints and found a niche in the reference collections and acquisitions departments of research libraries where purchase of out‐of‐print titles was a frequent occurrence.
