The two editors state that the goal of the two volume Handbook of Fish Biology and Fisheries is to help integrate the study of fish biology with the study of fisheries. Involving 54 expert scientists and practitioners from ten countries, I think Hart and Reynolds have achieved their goal. Even the e‐mail addresses of all the contributors are given. Undergraduates, graduates and researchers looking at the impact of fisheries on bio‐diversity and the decline of fish stocks will use these volumes to study fish biology and fisheries.
