Martin A. Klein taught African American history from 1970 to 1999 at the University of Toronto where he is a professor emeritus. Among his many accomplishments, he was awarded the Distinguished Africanist Award of the African Studies Association in 2001. The A to Z of Slavery and Abolition is a comprehensive dictionary that provides in‐depth definitions and history of slavery around the world.
