This handsome and robust two‐volume hardback follows the excellent high standard set by other ABC‐Clio encyclopedias. Over 500 entries are arranged alphabetically with see also references to related entries. Entries have generous further reading lists and occasional photographs. There is also a list of contributors (82) with their affiliations and entries, an introductory essay, four appendices, a full bibliography and a detailed index.
