This volume is a collection of five verbatim, in‐depth interviews conducted by the editor, Isobel Murray, occasionally accompanied by her husband, Bob Tait. Murray, Professor of English at the University of Aberdeen, is also the editor of Scottish Writers Talking I. The aim of these interviews, and subsequently this whole volume, is to provide insights into each writer’s thoughts and writings.
