The bulk of this book consists of short articles of one to three pages on a very wide range of drugs of abuse, or substances that have been used in ways indistinguishable from drug abuse. Each entry gives a Chemical Abstracts Service registry number, formal names, slang names (in the case of marihuana an astonishing two‐page list, running from Ace to Zig‐Zag Man – all carefully indexed), drug type, American Federal Schedule Listing, legal availability in America, and pregnancy category.
