According to the author, the purpose of this encyclopedia is to be “a comprehensive reference guide for anyone involved in the care, treatment, and day‐to‐day care of patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders” (p. ix). The book purports to address questions of cause, prognosis, diagnosis and related conditions in an encyclopedic format. Many cross‐references are included. While the information appears to be accurate, references to articles and Web sites for additional information within a topic are used inconsistently.
