Encyclopedia of Terrorism

Though the present work is not the first encyclopedia of terrorism, its subject is so pervasive at present that the publication of another needs no excuse. The author, who has several previous works on terrorism to his credit, makes the point that he started to compile it a full year before the horrific events of 11 September 2001, which are accorded the longest of the 300 articles (at about 4,000 words).
