This is an excellent A‐Z guide to herbs which lists not only their culinary and medicinal properties, but also all the information needed for cultivation. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) first published this encyclopedia in 1995 but since then the market for herbs has grown. They have become more fashionable, not just for cooking, but for alternative therapies, dietary supplements and even teas. New herbs have been included in this revised edition that have become better known in the past ten years and more varieties and cultivars are described.
