A web crawler is “a software program that crawls around the Web to find, catalogue, and report information it has been told to search for. Also known as agents, wanderers and spiders”. (RDN Internet Psychology Tutorial Online). The American Psychological Association who are responsible for this site have given it the tagline, “Indexing the web for the best in psychology”.
