A Biographical Dictionary of Women Economists

Many of the texts on the history of economic thought give the impression that very few women have contributed to the development of economics as a discipline until fairly recently. This dictionary goes a long way to altering this perspective as it contains profiles of 120 retired or deceased women who have made significant contributions to economics since the early 1800s.
