Sage is renowned as a hard‐nosed publisher with a track record of successful specialised academic publishing. Their market research department must, therefore, have agreed that there is a viable market for an expensive printed encyclopedia at a fairly basic high school to undergraduate level, focussing generally on the broad sociological theme of community. I cannot quite see it myself, but I suppose that they know their own business best.
