This book is very much designed as an affordable student version of the fourth edition of Wiley's Encyclopedia of Computer Science, with an intended readership ranging from high school to further and higher education. That said, this condensed text still covers the full gamut of computer science, from hardware and systems, through software and mathematics, to applied methodologies and applications, despite being only 60 per cent the size of its parent volume.
