Women Working, 1870‐1930

As the number of free digital collections on the web continues to burgeon, increasingly specialized collections are becoming available. Women Working, 1870‐1930 draws from Harvard University's library and museum collections, and is focused on women's economic role in the US between the civil war and the depression. When finished, it will include 1,000 photographs, more than 2,000 books and pamphlets, 10,000 manuscript pages and trade catalogues. Approximately half of the digitization is complete at the time of writing, with content from the earlier part of the nineteenth century scheduled for later addition.
