I am not sure if it really is a sign that I am getting older and curmudgeonlier, but some language errors have always annoyed me. It is just that they seem to be getting more widespread and more annoying. This book at least starts with flying colours as far as I am concerned: one of my pet hates is the confusion of comprising (transitive) and composed of or consisting of (intransitive).
