The Medieval Technology Pages web site is a collection of articles on various technologies in use during the Middle Ages. Most of the articles are gleaned from secondary sources and are not intended to be of use to serious scholars. Rather, the site is directed at users who are interested in a general overview of medieval technology.

Many of the articles included have been written by Gans; others are links to outside pages. Consequently, the site suffers from a lack of authority, as many of the outside sites have been created by persons who are not authorities on the subject....
