Chambers Book of Days

It was a pleasure to be given Chambers Book of Days to review, for CBoD marked a critical moment in my transition from academic librarianship – where academic knowledge was valued – to public librarianship – where it was often a hindrance. On being asked about a particular Saint's day, nothing in my theological education was any use. I was rescued by an experienced non‐graduate assistant who handed me Chambers Book of Days, where Saints are listed in the index and where information is found under their “day”!
