The first thing to note about this book is that the sub‐title belittles its entries, which actually run from Aaron, Henry “Hank” Louis to Zaharias, Mildred “Babe” Didrikson, the former being a baseball player who broke Babe Ruth's home‐run record and the latter an all‐round champion athlete and golf player from Texas. From this, it is noticeable that many of the entries are biographical.
