For once a book where the title accurately reflects the content. As soon as you pick up this thick quarto, you sense unpretentious quality, and, at this price, quality is paramount. Now in its fourth edition, and that fact alone speaks volumes in its favour, this work reflects the continued interest in environmental issues. It claims to be up to date and accurate in its treatment of the environment worldwide. Rather oddly I cannot find the name of an individual editor, although Amazon gives Mary Ann Steane.
