In spite of the caveat on the home page that the 8th edition online has been superseded by the 9th edition published in print in February 2005, this is a valuable resource for those, besides veterinarians, who want to better understand the physiology, anatomy, disorders, diseases and treatments of domestic, agricultural, exotic and laboratory animals. First published 50 years ago, each print edition has grown and developed into a standard resource. This online version continues that history and importance.
