The Business Plan Archive is a select archive of the planning documents of dot.com companies. These companies rose quickly in the mid‐1990s fuelled by the enabling technology of the internet. The archive is the brainstorm of David Kirsch, assistant professor of management at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. Kirsch began work on the project in 2002. Other partners in this collaboration are Webmerger.com, the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University and the Alfred P.
