There is a sometimes a fine line to be drawn between an overt reference book and a systematised textbook. This book is titled as a dictionary, and is arranged in alphabetical dictionary format, yet it has much of the feel of a textbook. For one thing, none of the entries is particularly short (about a page is the shortest and many are longer, some considerably so) and the coverage among the alphabetically arranged subjects is, if not restricted, certainly fairly selective.
