Mosby's Dictionary of Medicine, Nursing & Health Professions was developed to provide a single source of authoritative, up to date information concerning health and health terminology. Originally published in 1982 it has received much praise from practitioners and students for its comprehensiveness, reliability, currency and high‐quality illustrations. To reflect developments in health care approximately 5,000 new entries have been added to this seventh edition, while experts have reviewed retained entries to ensure they reflect current knowledge and practice. More than 10,000 definitions have been revised based on contributing consultant recommendations.
