I normally do most of my review reading on a commuter train, alighting at Denmark Hill station. This is the nearest railway station to two major world‐renowned hospitals – Kings College Hospital, and the Maudsley. It is one of London's oldest passenger railway stations, much of it still in its Victorian design, situated in a deep cutting with 38 steep stone steps up to street level, and no lift. It is not unknown for ill or elderly people to get off intending to go to Kings College Hospital and then deciding to wait for the next train to a station...
