American Political Music: A State‐by‐State Catalog of Printed and Recorded Music Related to Local, State and National Politics, 1756‐2004

According to the preface, this two‐volume reference work is the fourth in a series of reference books that document the political music of America from 1756‐2004 (all by this same author). It complements and extends especially the book Presidential Sheet Music (Crew, 2000), as entries are not duplicated. Over 35,000 songs were personally reviewed for this book, and the author established name references for each piece. Separate entries were made for each person mentioned in a song text.
